Results for September 6th Saturday night hide
I hid one transmitter at the north end of Strathmore Drive in Santee. 3 watt transmitter to an 11 element yagi pointed up the canyon towards Iron Mountain. At the start point, everyone except N9SCD with the doppler had a signal. They decided to follow KI6RXX until they acquired the signal.
Bryan KI6DUR and Bill W6ZM headed up 52 and exited at Mast and had me worried that it was going to be a short hunt. They headed towards Weston Park where I was carefully staged to "confirm" to hunters that they were in the right area. It worked and kept the team in the area for an extra 20 minutes or so before they left looking for the actual site. All the other teams kepy heading North on the 15 and then on to Pomerado Road and over to Beeler Canyon Road and Stonebridge Parkway.
I headed back to the transmitter site to find Bill and Bryan had found the transmitter at 5:49. The next team in was N6SZO at about 6:40 followed by KI6RXX. N9SCD arrived at 6:55.
Thanks to everyone that helped me break down the transmitter. We then headed to Oggi's for dinner.
