Greg and I talked about this hunt, came up with a plan and almost got it executed.
The original plan had 4 primary transmitters, 3 of which were loud enough to be heard at the start with the 4th very loud at T-5. Except that the 50 watt transmitter that had been tested for days on my bench decided to fail within 15 minutes of turning it on for the hunt. A quick substitution was made but the 4 watt substitute (Iding as T-4) was not quite loud enough to be heard everywhere as the original had been. We kept it on until 5 pm but it didn't appear as though anyone was looking for it so we shut it down.
Four teams hunted. KE6PHB / W6VLF found four transmitters, Team W6ZM and team N6SZO found three and team AJ6XP found two.
