There will be four main transmitters on this hunt, T1 through T4. At the start of the hunt you will select which main T you want to locate first. Main T’s will operate on 147.585 MHz. At each of these main transmitters you will also find two smaller transmitters within walking distance; one will be a PICCON-style T with a tone, and the other will be a voice T which will provide important hunting clues. These micro transmitters will operate on 146.565. The total number of T’s to be found will be 12. There will be two frequencies used so make sure you are familiar with switching settings on your mobile/sniffer equipment. All transmitters will have sign-in sheets. Hunt starts at 10:00 a.m. at Montgomery Airport and ends at 5:00 p.m. The hunt winner will be determined by the greatest number of transmitters found. Any possible tie-breaker will be determined by the fastest time to the most transmitters. Please activate your APRS.
There will be a prize awarded to the winner provided by Kenwood Radio Corporation.
