August Meathead Hunt, August 27 2022
Transmitter Hunters,
This hunt will invoke the rules of a “Meathead Hunt” (see description of Meathead Hunt). This means that some of the cherished rules (or lack) of a normal All Day Hunt will be forgone.
This hunt will have 4-7 hidden T's, one of which will be mobile. Scoring will be based on total T's found, and as a tie breaker, least miles between the first T found, and last T found.
The first official T to be found by a team is worth 2 T finds. Then finishing with the minimum time between all T’s found is worth 3 T finds. All other T’s found are worth 1 T found.
There will be another “Special” T (not IDed as such), that will have a 3 T found for the third to find and 2 T find for second, all others will get the normal 1 T found for this T.
The mobile T will not be IDing as a mobile! It's range of movement will be in a limited area. The mobile T will only be active between 1:00pm and 4:00pm! The second one to check into the mobile T will get 3 T finds, the first will get 2 T finds, and rest will get 1 T find. You must identify yourself to mobile as a T hunter (with call sign) and sign into sign-in sheet with call sign and time (mileage is not necessary at this T,).
One of the T’s will be a food T, it will ID as such in voice, you can get 30 minutes of free time for the food break (unless you make it your last find), in that case stay as long as you like (till 8:00pm).
All T’s must be found by 8:00pm Saturday!
Food will be: Pizza (most likely reheated), Cold cut subs, water and/or soda both diet and regular. Maybe cookies. Probably cookies.
